Irfan Forum
Since 1993, the “Irfan Colloquium” has offered 163 conferences, in English, Persian, and German, “fostering systematic studies of the scriptures of the world’s religions from the Bahá’í perspective and promoting scholarly studies in the sacred writings, verities, and fundamental principles of the belief system of the Bahá’í Faith.”
This has resulted in 20 volumes of presentations in English, 15 in Persian, and 5 in German. Some of the papers have been outstanding and have been cited frequently.
On November 11, 2023, the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of the United States decided to revive the Irfan Colloquium, which had been dormant since the beginning of the pandemic, with a new name, a new board, a new director, and new guidelines.
The “Irfan Forum” will continue to offer annual colloquia, but will also offer webinars and online courses on the scriptures of the world’s religions from the Bahá’í perspective and on the history, sacred writings, and fundamental principles of the Bahá’í Faith.
In the upcoming weeks, a new website will be launched and a call for papers published. This page will be updated to provide further information as it becomes available.
